Kitchen Color Trends for 2021

Need inspiration for your new kitchen’s color scheme? Check out the trends for 2021.

2021 is finally here! Although much trepidation comes with it as much as hope does, it has never been a bad time of year to consider your kitchen renovation dreams. After several decades, it is likely time for an upgrade, and in the bright year of 2021, one can draw inspiration from today’s trends. For starters, consider these newest kitchen color trends to help set the mood.

Greens

Green is a color that many associate with nature and growth. It is one of the richer colors one can use in the kitchen, and if it’s your favorite color, you may have little if any doubt in your mind that it’s the hue for you. Don’t let your go-to shade of forest green be your limit, though. Pale, neutral greens emphasize sophistication, mint green offers a retro or lighthearted feel, and plenty of others allow you to mix and match shades to your heart’s content.

Blues

When it comes to blues, a stark, navy blue is what will give you a clean, sharp look to your kitchen. Alternatively, a pale, sky blue can add that essence of color you’re looking for but keep your kitchen light and airy. Can’t decide on one shade? You can also use two or three!

Greys

Greys are the new neutral in today’s kitchen color trends. Like white, grey can be warm or cool and have different tints, such as blue, blue-green, yellow, red, purple, etc. A very neutral grey can look dead, but with the right pop of color, the room can look more balanced. Another trend to consider for greys this year is greige, a combination of grey and beige.

Neutrals

Neutrals would include black and white. For a truly modern kitchen, black cabinets, countertops, walls, and appliances can make a statement. The kitchen will require lots of natural light, however. White can be too sterile for some, but remains a classic. One can create a classy black and white kitchen with a pop of color here and there, or add wood or metallic accents.

Pastels

If you love color but don’t want to go too deep, bold, or rich, pastels could be for you. A combination of light colors could give your kitchen a vintage or whimsical feel. To help you get the best version of your dream kitchen on paper, contact Kenwood Kitchens!
