Our experts will work with you to pick options, within your budget, that will last through years of use and also remain the centerpiece of your kitchen space.
Today the choices of custom countertop are seemingly unending, and we here at Kenwood Kitchens promise that our design professionals can help you sift through the maze of various options and find the material, color, and texture that brings your kitchen together – we with help you throughout the whole kitchen process.
Some of the options include:
- Granite - Very popular, though often expensive. Holds up to heat, longlasting, adds a lot of value to your home, 2nd highest hardness behind diamonds.
- Corian - Wide array of colors, seamless, stain resistant, more moderately priced.
- Quartz - Can be expensive, but resists stains and acids, easy to care for, and available in a wide range of colors. Options include Silestone, Zodia, Caesartone, and Cambria.
- Wood - Very pretty and homey, but they can be scratched with hard use. Easy to clean, and can be sanded and resealed.
- Glass - Unique and modern, wide pricing range depending on style, can be chipped with hard use, shows fingerprints though generally easy to clean.
- Laminates -Various synthetic and plastic materials. Inexpensive, dizzying array of colors, but hard to repair if damaged. This includes options like Formica.
- Marble - Very pricey but very pretty. Will add highly to the resale of your home. Heatproof and waterproof.
- Soapstone - Uniquely colored, more moderately priced then some other stones. Requires more maintenance.
- Limestone - Pretty and unusual, but a soft stone so it must be properly sealed so it does not scratch or chip.
- Concrete - Easiest material to shape, so ideal for more unusually shaped kitchen counters. Good color selection and quite heat resistant.
- Stainless Steel - Very modern look. Can be expensive since it is more difficult to fabricate and cut. Easy to clean and heatproof.
- And all in a wide array of colors and textures.
